My Funky Party is celebrating a birthday this month, but for a change it's not a child's birthday - it's their own. Three years ago mum of 4, 28 year old Angela Emery set up in 2006 as a small company providing face painting for kids parties. Since then the company has seen steady growth.
Angela says that her secret is to be passionate about the service that the company offers and to pay close attention to the smaller details that make kids happy and their parents even happier.
On the one hand My Funky Party has an excellent local reputation for party concepts that capture a child's imagination, on the other it supplies face painters and balloon twisters to major high street chains such as Hamley's, John Lewis, Hoopers, and Marks & Spencer throughout the UK.
To celebrate the 3rd birthday of the brand, My Funky Party is planning a website re-launch with the opening of a new online party and gift shop that delivers door-to-door in Wilmslow and Alderley Edge and nationally via courier. Angela's plans for the future include franchising the business and writing a book about planning and hosting children's parties, so watch this space!
